Introduction of E-governance to Curb Frauds in Noida Property Market

To ensure transparency in the process of home buying and to check the legality of housing projects, the investors and buyers have asked the developers in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway to make the project details public on their websites without fail. But even after repeated demands, they have not done it. Even several buyer’s association have demanded that authorities upload important details about the developers on their official website as it is very difficult for homebuyers to go to developers office each time they need any information on the project. 

This whole process is also necessary because of the property frauds prevailing in the booming real estate market. Recently, Noida Authority has decided to introduce e-governance that will help all the three (Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway) authorities to upload all details about the project, including land ownership, title-related details, lease deed status, approvals of layout plan and other NOCs and approvals on their websites. With all this information on the site, the homebuyers need not go to developer’s office to get necessary information on approvals and other updates. The authority is also planning to start an online application of layout plan for sanctions, transfer of memorandum of property and for submitting installments.

The official of Noida Authority said that they have roped in an agency to take forward the work of e-governance project for uploading the developer’s details.

This new initiative is welcomed by all major real estate developers as they believe that it will increase investor’s faith in the real estate sector and guide them in identifying the right developer.
